The Swedish teenager is also under the radar of West Ham United and other English clubs.
Mujanic who plays as a defensive midfielder is a regular for the Swedish club’s U-19 squad.
The 17-year-old trains with the senior squad and yet to make a first impression as a senior player.
The Swedish prospect will be deployed in the U-23 squad if he opts out to join the championship side this summer.
He has scored two goals in nine appearances this season and at the international level, Mujanic has earned 12 caps in the U-17 team.
Mujanic’s agent is Ivan Klasnic, a former Croatian striker.
The Swedish club is reluctant to offer Mujanic a promotion to the senior team. This could help the Whites to lure the teenager to Elland Road.
West Ham are also reportedly interested in the teenager and could compete with Leeds for the acquisition.
The Whites are having a good run in the Championship right now. Despite an early slump, Marcelo Bielsa’s men were able to bounce back well and now are second in the Championship table.
The Elland Road club has won five games in their last six matches and the only defeat came against Queens Park Rangers.
Leeds will go head to head with Sheffield United this Saturday.
