2017-2018 Premier League week 7

My thoughts on 2017-2018 Premier League week 7

I received some very positive comments on the post with my thoughts on the first two Premier League weekends of this season. Now it’s time to discuss the most important players/moments/teams of this weekend before the international break. This time I give my thoughts on 2017-2018 Premier League week 7.

2017-2018 Premier League week 7

There are a few subjects which I want to talk about.

This big city is probably going to be the capital of the Premier League this season. Both Manchester clubs had a great start of this season. After seven matches, both Man City and Man United collected 19 of the possible 21 points. The number three of the table is already 5 points behinds these teams. If they can keep up with this, it’s going to be a very interesting match of the 9th of December, when these teams play against each other. I really think it’s going to be a long and hard battle between these teams for the title this season.

Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur’s star striker is scoring goals for fun the last month. Where he still never scored a Premier League goal in August, the month September fits him much better. He scored 6 Premier League goals in 4 matches and 5 Champions League goals in two matches. This is the way we want striker to see. He has some tough competitors for the top scorer trophy this season. Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata and Sergio Aguero all know are scoring their goals this season.

The Toffees have a Dutch manager, so I always defend them a little but longer. But I’m starting to get worried now they lost against Burnley. The thing that surprises me the most, is that they failed to find a good replacement for Romelu Lukaku. Allthough the Toffees spent a lot of money, their is no number 1 striker in their current squad. If Koeman gets the chance to continue his journey as Everton manager, he needs to buy a striker in the winter transfer window.

What are your thoughts about 2017-2018 Premier League week 7?
